Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Sr IT Software Engineer to design, develop, and refactor desktop client applications and services for the RIS platform. You will mentor engineers, define architecture patterns, and collaborate in an Agile environment to deliver robust healthcare IT solutions.

The role emphasizes improving system integrity, security, availability, and efficiency, with responsibilities spanning architecture, development, maintenance, and DevOps integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science/IT field.
• 7+ years of web app development and relational databases experience.
• 7+ years with .NET (C#, ASP.NET), HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, API development, Git and unit testing.
• 5+ years relational DB design and data-driven apps (SQL).
• 5+ years designing/architecting solutions within large healthcare orgs.
• 4+ years translating business requirements into integration diagrams/flow charts.
• 3+ years Agile development with Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
• 3+ years relational DB concepts, security, backup, disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of HL7/FHIR healthcare data interoperability.
• Experience with design patterns, refactoring, and modular architectures.
• Broad tech exposure: cloud, data streaming, IoT, AI, etc.
• Strong web app architecture and UX principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead software architecture and development, improving readability and maintainability of desktop client apps and services.
• Define reference models, standards, and patterns for robust architecture.
• Design, develop, maintain, and document solution architectures; ensure traceability.
• Develop databases to support front-end apps per standards; drive best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and review code and documentation.
• Collaborate in Agile environment; coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical specs, user manuals, and testing procedures with Principal Engineer.
• Participate in peer reviews and Agile ceremonies; contribute to process improvements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline setup and DevOps alignment.
• Provide after-hours support for critical issues if needed.
