Job summary

KLA is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer in Milpitas, CA to lead architecture, design, and development of high-performance C++ applications powering next-generation semiconductor inspection and metrology products.

You will drive scalable software architectures, mentor engineers, and collaborate with systems and hardware teams to deliver integrated solutions. You will influence technical direction, enforce quality practices, and optimize software performance across distributed, real-time systems

Qualifications

12+ years of professional software development experience with C++
Experience delivering large-scale, complex software from architecture through deployment
Deep expertise in OO design, design patterns, and modern C++
Strong understanding of distributed, multi-threaded, high-performance systems
Experience in SDLC, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, and implementation of complex software systems
Define scalable, maintainable software architectures aligned with roadmaps
