Job summary

KLA is seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer in Milpitas to design, implement, and debug Linux firmware for embedded sensing and communications systems in advanced inspection tools.

You will contribute to system architecture, hardware interfaces, and software connectivity, owning projects end-to-end from concept to deployment. You should have strong C/C++ skills, experience with Linux internals, and familiarity with DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• PhD/Masters/Bachelors with related work experience required.
• Strong firmware and hardware/software integration skills.
• Experience with embedded Linux and C/C++ programming.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and debugging Linux firmware for embedded sensing and communications systems.
• Develop features across power electronics, signal processing and communication platforms.
• Architect hardware/software interfaces and system connectivity across components.
• Own projects end-to-end from concept to deployment.
