KLA in Milpitas, CA is seeking a software engineer to design and develop applications for semiconductor equipment. You will work with hardware teams to deliver reliable control software and automation using C#, C++, or Python, applying state-of-the-art AI techniques to streamline workflows.

You'll contribute to architecture, testing, and validation, support a range of tools, and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Master's OR Bachelor’s Level Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in software development (internships or co-op experience may be considered).
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming and basic understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Exposure to development tools such as Git, IDEs, and debugging tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities. 1 year of related experience

Responsabilités

• Design and develop software solutions for semiconductor equipment and machine-control applications, working closely with hardware and system components.
• Develop applications and automation using C#, C++, and/or Python, depending on the project requirements.
• Apply AI/agentic AI techniques to automate engineering workflows such as system monitoring, diagnostics, log analysis, issue triage, and recovery.
• Design modular software components and contribute to software architecture, implementation, testing, and validation.
