Job summary
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Software Development Engineer III on the Cloudscape team to lead design, development, and delivery of large-scale software systems.
You will own architectural direction, mentor engineers, and drive critical technical decisions across teams to ensure high performance and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, influence roadmaps, and advocate for robust design, testing, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of multi-feature software systems across the full development lifecycle.
- Own your team''s architectural direction by evaluating scalability, maintainability, performance and security tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with engineers across teams to ensure cohesive system integration.
- Mentor and coach multiple engineers on your team and beyond.
- Apply generative AI tools to improve development workflows and adopt new technology responsibly.
- Influence product roadmap.
