Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer III for the AWS Cloudscape team in California. You will own architectural direction, mentor engineers, and drive technical strategy across multiple teams to deliver scalable, secure software systems for the AWS Management Console builders community.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.

A day in the life

Engage the AWS builders community and stakeholders in the various Cloudscape organization to simplify the intent based UX experience development for AWS Management Console builders. Review critical CRs and mentor others on the team. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to do design review and review the design/architecture produced by engineers on the same team. Review operational metrics and alarms to ensure your team's services are healthy. You will play a key role in shaping the direction of the own team and partner teams.
