Job summary

The Boeing Company in Herndon, Virginia is seeking a Lead Software Architect to lead end-to-end software architecture for non-embedded systems within the Denali Software team. This role supports the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) software engineering organization and collaborates with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software designs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test).
• 10+ years of experience with Java, C++, Angular/React.js, HTML, and CSS languages.
• 10+ years of experience developing, documenting, and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
• 5+ years of experience leading projects and/or individuals in software development lifecycle tasks.
• 5+ years of experience in developing software products in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading the end-to-end architecture, design, development, testing, analysis, and maintenance of software systems to meet standards.
• Partnering with stakeholders to define system requirements and translate them into software requirements and designs.
• Overseeing analyses to identify risks and opportunities and drive adoption of technologies and changes.
• Directing integration, enhancement, debugging, and verification activities for reliable software and system integrations.
• Establishing and improving software processes, tools, and KPIs to align with goals and standards.
• Managing and reviewing development, documentation, and maintenance of user documentation and support processes.
• Supporting software project management including planning, execution, and review of product and process alignment.
• Tracking and evaluating team and supplier performance to ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Providing technical leadership to ensure designs align with customer, performance, safety, and certification objectives.
