Job summary

Americo Financial Life and Annuity in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Sr. Software Architect to shape the technical direction of our software.

You will collaborate with business leaders, IT leadership, and development teams to convert strategic goals into scalable system designs. You’ll evaluate design alternatives against cost, schedule, usability, reliability, maintainability, and availability, and recommend the best path forward.

Qualifications

• Design and develop using .NET Framework/Core.
• Experience with Agile software processes.
• Strong understanding of databases, esp. SQL Server.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to align tech with business strategy.
• Provide guidance on system design, implementation, and integration.
• Build proof-of-concept projects for new tech.
• Research emerging tools and technologies for Americo.
• Document system designs and interfaces for stakeholders.
• Assess architectural impact on the technology portfolio.
