Job summary

Aptiv plc is seeking a Software Architect at our Indiana Technical Center in Carmel to drive radar/ADAS software architecture and AUTOSAR integration. This role emphasizes safety, performance, and cross-functional collaboration across automotive domains.

The ideal candidate brings 14+ years in embedded real-time software for automotive systems, strong C/C++ skills, and hands-on AUTOSAR experience in BSW/MCAL and CAN/Ethernet stacks. Relocation within the USA may be offered.

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
14+ years in Embedded or real-time software development, automotive domain preferred.
Experience in Embedded Software Architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with AUTOSAR BSW, MCAL, OS bring-up and configuring CAN/Ethernet stacks.
Experience with Safety standards (ISO 26262) and implementation.
Strong experience in embedded C/C++ programming.

Responsibilities

Lead the SW architecture for the Radar Sensor to meet functional safety, cybersecurity and other automotive standards.
Lead AUTOSAR OS bring up & configuration, BSW, MCAL, develop/integrate CAN/Ethernet communication stack.
Lead CPU optimization, memory layout, and interface design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rapidly build solutions to resolve critical problems during development.
Assist developers with code and design reviews.
Work in Agile software development environments.
