Job summary

Newmark in Dallas is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to own and drive the technical architecture for cross-team, full-stack initiatives across front-end, back-end, and data layers. You will design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native web applications and distributed services, and integrate agentic AI workflows to boost efficiency and unlock new capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, MIS, or related field.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience with full-stack architecture at scale.
• Expert level in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and backend languages.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
• Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud-native patterns.
• Hands-on in agentic AI, LLM-powered apps, or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Proven track record leading large-scale initiatives across multiple teams.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database design experience.
• CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and DevOps practices.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive technical architecture for cross-team full-stack initiatives.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and services in cloud-native env.
• Architect and integrate agentic AI workflows into systems to drive efficiency.
• Set engineering standards for quality, design, testing, and deployment, including AI tools.
• Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams.
• Collaborate with product/design/leadership to map business strategy to scalable roadmaps including AI features.
• Identify and resolve systemic performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to raise technical bar in full-stack and AI practices.
• Drive adoption of modern frameworks/tools, including agentic AI and LLM tooling.
• Stay aware of emerging tech, especially agentic AI and automation, and assess applicability.
