Job summary

Newmark Group in Dallas/US is seeking a senior data platform architect to own the technical architecture for enterprise data initiatives, spanning ingestion, transformation, and serving layers in cloud-native environments. You will design scalable pipelines, lead MDM programs, integrate agentic AI, and build ML-ready data foundations, exposing datasets via REST/GraphQL and setting governance standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field preferred.
12+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering with architecture experience.
Expert-level SQL and strong Python (Scala/Java a plus) for large-scale processing.
Deep experience with cloud data platforms and cloud-native architectures.
MDM design experience including entity resolution and governance.
Experience with agentic AI systems and multi-agent/LLM workflows.
Experience building backend data services (REST/GraphQL) and data stores.

Responsibilities

Own the technical architecture for cross-team data initiatives spanning ingestion, transformation, storage, and serving layers.
Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines and platforms in a cloud-native environment.
Architect and lead enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) implementations and governance.
Integrate agentic AI and LLM-driven workflows into data platforms to drive efficiency.
Build data foundations for ML/LLMOps, including feature stores and vector databases.
Design and deliver backend data services and expose curated datasets via REST/GraphQL APIs.
Set engineering standards for data quality, modeling, testing, observability, and deployment.
Establish data governance, lineage, cataloging, and quality frameworks.
Lead design reviews and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams.
Partner with product, analytics, and leadership to translate strategy into scalable roadmaps.
Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues across the stack.
Mentor engineers to raise technical bar and adopt AI-enabled tooling.
