Job summary

City of Modesto is seeking a Senior Software Analyst to lead complex IT projects, oversee staff, and deliver advanced software solutions. The role emphasizes project management, business process analysis, and cross-functional leadership within municipal IT services.

You will guide development cycles, mentor teammates, coordinate client-focused technology strategies, and ensure delivery of high-quality applications on time.

Qualifications

• Two years of responsible experience equivalent to Software Analyst II with the City of Modesto.
• Bachelor’s degree in business information systems, computer science, GIS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and review the work of staff assigned to professional application support, maintenance, and business process analysis duties.
• Develop schedules and methods to accomplish assignments, ensuring timely completion.
• Participate in evaluating staff activities and recommend improvements.
• Plan and coordinate staff training and correct deficiencies.
• Execute professional IT consulting/development projects.
• Recommend highly complex technology solutions to clients.
• Monitor and manage customer satisfaction for assigned areas.
