Job summary

Brayman Construction is hiring a full‑time Senior Project Engineer to assist Excavation and Support of Excavation (SOE) construction for the ALCOSAN Ohio River Tunnel Project. This role focuses on field leadership, safety oversight, and project controls for a large, long‑term civil project.

The Senior Project Engineer will support the Project Manager and Superintendent in contract management, scheduling, vendor coordination, and cost control, with responsibilities spanning takeoffs, billing

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints and plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel or relocate for projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sitework between Field Engineers, Superintendents and subcontractors.
• Develop and review work plans and submittals.
• Review field quantities, monthly financial reporting, cost variance analysis and forecasting.
• Manage project takeoffs and documentation.
• Prepare project proposals.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers.
• Develop strong relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, quality control personnel, operations, and management staff.
• Use exceptional organizational skills for effective project management.
• Leverage interpersonal and communication skills for successful task completion.
