Job summary

VA Augusta Health Care System seeks an experienced Social Worker Program Coordinator (GS-12) to lead a major specialty program such as Spinal Cord Injury or Caregiver Support. The role involves advanced clinical practice, program development, and inter-disciplinary consultation to Veterans, families, and community partners.

Responsibilities include policy development, program evaluation, data analytics, and staff education.

Qualifications

Must have MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and active licensure.
US citizenship or eligibility for appointment.
One year of experience at GS-11 level in professional social work.
Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities for advanced practice and program coordination.
Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate program policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Manages daily operations of the assigned specialty program.
Develops and implements program policies, procedures, clinical guidelines, and protocols.
Tracks and analyzes program data including referrals, utilization, demographics, and outcomes.
Provides direct clinical services including assessment and treatment planning.
Provides education and consultation to VA staff, Veterans, families, and community partners.
May travel to CBOCs or VA facilities as required.
