Job summary

Anoka County Community Corrections seeks a Senior Social Worker to provide crisis intervention, skill-building for juveniles with mental health needs, and case consultation. This full-time, on-site role offers advancement opportunities and a strong benefits package. Interviews are scheduled after the closing date.

The role requires a bachelor's in human services/social work, 4+ years of related experience, and a valid driver's license. Master's degree and corrections experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in human services, nursing, social work or related field and at least 4 years (2,080 annual hours) of job-related experience.
• In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Must have valid driver's license and vehicle available for business use.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goals. Develop care plans for clients.
• Support clients with mental health needs in gaining skills and resources to build success.
• Coordinate with correctional staff to provide additional support services to clients.
• Provide crisis intervention.
• Provide individual and group services.
• Review progress of clients on suicide risk status.
• Maintain case files and records.
• Provide leadership, coaching, training and/or mentoring to a multidisciplinary team.
