Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Senior Social Worker at the Vet Center with expertise in readjustment counseling and crisis intervention. You will provide direct counseling to individuals, couples, and families, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship required; non-citizens only when permissible by VA policy.
• English language proficiency required for appointment.
• Master's in Social Work from CSWE-accredited school; doctoral degree not substituting.
• Licensure/certification to independently practice social work at Master’s level.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct readjustment counseling to eligible individuals, couples, and families.
• Coordinate client care and staff development with clinical supervision.
• Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention planning.
• Document clinical interactions and services per policy.
• Collaborate with Vet Center Outreach and inter-professional teams.
