Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Social Worker to provide psychosocial assessment, clinical interventions, and coordination of care for Veterans in a multidisciplinary setting. Position emphasizes treatment planning, referrals, and family involvement.

Eligible for EDRP; must hold an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and be licensed to independently practice social work. Monday–Friday schedule in a VA facility.

Qualifications

• MSW from CSWE-accredited program.
• Must be licensed or certified to independently practice social work.
• GS-9 to GS-11 level requires licensure or certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments with Veterans and families.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with the interdisciplina ry team.
• Coordinate referrals to VA and community resources for services.
• Provide ongoing supportive counseling to Veterans and family members.
• Collaborate with other service providers to meet Veteran needs.
