Job summary

Guilford County Government seeks a supervisory social work administrator to oversee high-risk families and individuals, guiding case reviews and enforcing standards. You will interview, develop performance appraisals, and train staff while addressing disciplinary matters within the program.

The role requires strong knowledge of federal and state welfare policies, excellent communication, and leadership skills to drive service quality and staff growth in a county government setting.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited school of social work and two years professional social work or counseling experience
• BSW from an accredited school of social work and three years of professional social work or counseling experience
• Master's degree in a counseling field and two years professional social work or counseling experience
• Bachelor's degree in a human service field or related curriculum and three years professional social work or counseling experience
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and four years professional experience in a related human service field providing experience in the techniques of casework, group work or community organization

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and reviews of the Child and Family Services Program through reading and reviewing case records to ensure the program is following local, state, and federal standards and policies, and ensures the practice reflects agency values
• Possess extensive knowledge of child welfare standards and practices and local, state, and federal child and family services policy
