Job summary

Chatham County Department of Social Services seeks an experienced manager to lead a social work team delivering In-Home and Foster Care services. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal mandates, and drive quality assurance activities and monthly reports.

The role also includes staff orientation and training, performance reviews, and participation in agency management. A master’s in social work and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution and two years of related experience; or a BA/BS with three years; or related human services Master’s with three years; or BA in human services with four years; or BA with five years’ related experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to social workers in Home and Foster Care services.
• Oversee HR functions including orientation, training, and annual performance evaluations.
• Coordinate CQI activities and prepare program reports and documentation per policy.
• Participate in court staffing, case planning, and expert testimony as needed.
• Support budgeting processes and collaborate with partners to ensure quality services.
