Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford seeks a Social Work Manager to lead psychosocial services within patient care, aligning with the hospital’s strategic plan and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective social work delivery.

The role requires collaboration with medical staff and community partners, overseeing staff education and development, and guiding policy implementation across the Social Work Department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (CSWE-accredited) or equivalent licensure.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Meets budget and operational targets; deploys social work personnel to assure appropriate and adequate services.
• Assist in identifying program priorities by evaluating needs of target populations and resource availability.
• Coordinate policies for the Social Work Department and maintain quality assurance mechanisms.
• Establish processes to assure integration/coordination of all services.
• Assist in hiring qualified staff and maintain staffing ratios within budget parameters.
• Ensure orientation, staff training, and development programs are in place.
• Evaluate staff performance and enforce personnel policies and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Plan and manage day-to-day operations of the service line and determine policy and priorities.
• Provide leadership to integrate social work programs with hospital functions and visions.

Education

Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited college or university program or equivalent (as demonstrated by licensure)
