Job summary

The Social Shepherd, a leading social-first agency in the US, seeks a Social Account Director to own client strategy and lead the agency's social retainers and campaigns from NYC. Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a Social Strategy or Client Services role (with a social focus).
• Agency experience preferred but not required in a fast-paced multi-client setting.
• Strong knowledge of platform nuances across TikTok, Reels, Stories and Comments.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Curiosity for social platforms, trends and evolving behaviours; adapt strategies accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary strategic advisor for clients, ensuring work aligns with goals and brand voice.
• Lead client communications and campaign reviews; translate data into actionable insights.
• Drive revenue growth by identifying upsell opportunities and leading commercial proposals.
• Pitch emerging trends and content opportunities to keep client brands ahead of the curve.
• Build full-funnel social and content strategies backed by audience research and audits.
• Oversee end-to-end campaign execution, content briefs, and channel distribution.
• Collaborate with internal creative, paid media, and production teams for high-quality delivery.
• Analyze performance metrics to optimize content and maximize engagement ROI.
