HANAC, Inc. seeks a Program Supervisor to oversee a HPD Senior Affordable Rental Apartment (SARA) program for seniors 62+ with low income, many formerly homeless. The role involves guiding staff, coordinating services, and maintaining program reports within a 159-unit setting in New York City.

The candidate will supervise day-to-day operations, manage budgets, and foster community connections while coordinating with building management and service providers.

Qualifications

• LSW or MSW in related field is required.
• 2–5 years direct client experience.
• Counseling experience and crisis intervention skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the program and ensure services are provided where needed.
• Guide staff on mental, emotional and behavioral health concerns with referrals as needed.
• Manage emergency situations and intervene during crises.
• Foster connections with community providers and inform tenants about services.
• Encourage social interaction and build a sense of community among tenants.
• Collaborate with Property Management to assist tenants with issues.
• Maintain contact with funding source and provide monthly reports.
• Oversee annual program budget and payroll for staff.
• Identify and arrange training opportunities for staff.
• Order supplies as needed.
• Review staff documentation for accuracy.
