Job summary

Dalton Agency is seeking a Social Media Director to set the strategic direction and oversee execution of social media initiatives across the agency’s client portfolio. You will mentor the social team and serve as the senior strategic lead on key accounts.

You will lead development of social strategies, guide content across channels and partner with other departments to ensure integrated marketing success. The role requires leadership, deep platform expertise and strong writing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a social media role, including team leadership and senior client relationships.
• Experience in agency or multi-client environments and integrated marketing campaigns is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set overarching social media strategy for client accounts, aligning with marketing, PR and business objectives.
• Oversee development, management and execution of content across channels with quality and consistency.
• Provide senior-level oversight of social media accounts, leading team members on day-to-day management and reputation management.
• Lead comprehensive social media strategies to drive client growth, engagement and ROI.
• Partner with other departments to align social with integrated marketing and PR efforts.
• Analyze and report campaign performance; translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Mentor and train social media team members on best practices, tools and growth.
• Serve as primary contact for senior client stakeholders and present as the agency’s social media expert.
• Contribute to new business efforts including pitches and proposals.
• Champion adoption of new tools, platforms and procedures across the team.
