Skydance seeks a Senior Social Media Producer to craft and edit social media content for 60 MINUTES on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and YouTube. You will write copy, film with talent, and select clips with audience impact in mind.

You should bring 6-10 years in TV news or show production, strong editing skills, and the ability to pitch timely social ideas while upholding high editorial standards. Flex hours apply as broadcasts require.

The Senior Social Media Producer will produce, write, and edit social media content and copy for 60 MINUTES across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and YouTube. This content will need to adhere to 60 Minutes' overarching style, while also demonstrating an awareness for the modern best practices of each specific social platform. The Senior Social Media Producer will film with talent, screen 60 Minutes pieces and suggest which clips they feel will perform best on social. They should also be proactively pitching original social content ideas, in innovative formats, to complement what appears on the broadcast.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6-10 years of hard news production experience with advanced editing skills and the ability to write copy that adheres to our high standards ofstyle and syntax. They should be knowledgable about the larger news cycle and constantly abreast of current events, so they can suggest timely and relevant posts from the 60 Minutes archives.

The Senior Social Media Producer must collaborate well, and drive results among matrixed cross-functional teams where there is not always direct reporting authority. A successful candidate will understand the heritage of the broadcast, and how the past informs how we approach the future. Finally, they should be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as the broadcast production schedule dictates.

Education:

• BA/BS in Journalism, Communications or related is preferred
• Equivalent experience is acceptable

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6-10 years of TV news, show producer and/or social media experience
• Ability to partner and work across internal departments and teams to execute flawlessly
• Position demands extremely strong editorial judgement and impeccable creative writing ability.
• Position requires highly developed relationship building skills, from pitching concepts to execution and measurement.
• Candidate should possess ability to multi-task and excel in a dynamic, quickly changing environment.
• A strong sense of editorial fairness, and a keen understanding of the stakes of producing accurate copy and content.
• Video and photo editing skills are a must.
• Expertise on Adobe Premiere and Photoshop and/or Avid to create, reformat, and edit content optimized for success on social media platforms.
• Ability to understand breaking news platforms and obtain rights and clearances for various media usages.
• Understanding of TV production process and workflows, and how social media content drives and supports audience loyalty and growth.
• Candidate should anticipate occasionally irregular hours as breaking news cycles and broadcast workflows dictate.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $85000.0 - 110000.00.
