Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with 5+ years of CPU performance modeling.
• Deep understanding of CPU microarchitecture: pipelines, OoO, branch prediction, caches.
• Strong SoC-level architecture knowledge: on-chip fabric, memory controllers, DRAM, I/O.
• Hands-on experience with performance analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive workload-based performance analysis for server SoCs.
• Enable, run, and characterize complex server workloads on pre- and post-silicon platforms.
• Perform detailed bottleneck analysis across cores, caches, memory hierarchy, fabric, I/O subsystems.
• Build analytical and empirical models for workload behavior and performance scaling.
• Develop performance projections for internal and external products.
• Conduct sensitivity studies on hardware and software parameters.
• Identify optimization opportunities and drive cross-functional plans.
• Define methodologies, metrics, and KPI frameworks for workload analysis.
• Use profiling tools to collect PMU data and CPI breakdowns.
• Summarize findings for technical and executive audiences.
