Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a seasoned SOC Engineer to design and implement security event data collection across SIEM and related tools. You will lead use-case development, dashboards, and alerting to detect threats and automate responses, while maintaining log integrity and system health.

The role requires hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, threat intelligence integration, and SOAR; frequent collaboration with IR and security teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 4+ years in Cyber Security/SOC is required.
• Experience configuring log data collection, enrichment, deployment and integration is preferred.
• Experience operating in a SOC and incident response environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS, firewalls, DLP, AD and application security is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SOC engineer for SIEM design and log confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Implement and manage automated alerting to detect and respond to security incidents.
• Maintain and integrate security systems with broader infrastructure and evaluate performance.
• Manage security tools and hardware; perform updates and troubleshooting.
• Integrate threat intelligence into operational frameworks to enhance detection.
• Lead content development in the SIEM, including use case design and dashboards.
• Leverage SOAR to streamline incident response workflows.
• Review logging strategies and plan onboarding with technical details.
• Assist in correlating events to support SOC response requirements.
