Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior SoC Debug Engineer to lead bring-up, debugging, and failure analysis across pre-Si and post-Si stages for Server/Compute/Mobile chipsets. You will collaborate across hardware and software teams to drive rapid triage and root-cause resolution.

The role requires strong RTL understanding, JTAG expertise, and hands-on lab debugging with logic analyzers and oscilloscopes to ensure robust silicon validation and quality.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience with pre-si and post-silicon enabling, bring-up, analyze failures at the embedded platform level.
• RTL inspection and understanding of basic RTL.
• Experience solving complex debug in pre-si and post-si phases.
• Lead development of faster debug strategies at the platform level.
• Create debug plans for partners to triage failures and isolate components (PVT, marginality).
• SysDebug lead roles to drive complex issues to root-cause.
• Debugging low level software and hardware issues including JTAG.
• Using Lab Equipment (Logic Analyzer, Scope, Signal Generator).

Responsibilities

• Lead bring up, debug, and analyze failures at the embedded platform level in pre-Si and post-Si phases.
• Perform RTL inspection and root-cause analysis for pre-Si and post-Si issues.
• Develop and drive faster platform-level debug strategies and plans for partners.
• Triage failures to isolate components, including PVT and marginality issues.
• Debug real-time server hardware including motherboards, processors, memory, storage, power, and networking.
