Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience or an advanced degree and fewer years.
• Active SECRET clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• 5+ years in federal cybersecurity, SOC, or systems security.
• 3+ years with a SIEM platform (prefer Splunk).
• Experience using Splunk dashboards and Microsoft Sentinel.
• 4+ years querying security data with SPL/regex.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate security alerts, and perform threat hunting.
• Analyze network traffic and identify anomalous activity.
• Develop and document SOC standards, policies, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams on threats and forensics.
• Prepare investigations and incident reports.
• Mentor junior SOC members and plan SOC projects.
