Job summary

Visual Soft, Inc is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst to monitor and respond to security alerts for a federal agency project. The role requires 6+ years in a SOC environment and involves on-site work with 1 day remote per week at present.

The Senior SOC Analyst will investigate incidents using Splunk SIEM, Snort IDS, and PCAP data, and recommend containment actions to protect critical U.S. Courts systems. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of SOC experience is required.
• Experience with Splunk and Snort-based IDS events, PCAP, and SIEM.
• SPLUNK SIEM advanced queries hands-on experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to SIEM alerts and customer requests.
• Investigate incidents and recommend actions to safeguard systems.
• Utilize a variety of tools to analyze logs and events and take action.
