Job summary

Peraton seeks a Senior SOC Analyst for a fully remote role with preference for the DC metro area for occasional onsite activities. The candidate will monitor security events, perform threat hunting, and coordinate with teams to respond to incidents under DoD/US Gov frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of federal cybersecurity, SOC, or systems security experience.
• 3+ years with a SIEM platform, preferably Splunk.
• Active SECRET clearance and Security+ CE or DoD 8570 IAT II.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Analyze network traffic and use SPL queries to identify threats.
• Develop and document SOC processes, SOPs, and playbooks.
• Mentor junior SOC team members and participate in on-call rotations.
