Zelis Healthcare, LLC in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Senior Snowflake Platform Administrator to own the Snowflake foundation powering the Data & AI Cloud. You will ensure security, governance, performance, and cost efficiency as Zelis moves toward an AI-native data fabric.

You will lead IAM, RBAC, data protection, PHI guardrails, and CI/CD pipelines with Terraform, dbt, and Snowpipe. The role requires 8+ years in data platforms with 5+ years Snowflake admin and AWS experience, plus a focus on

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data platform / data engineering roles, including 5+ years hands-on Snowflake administration in production.
• Deep RBAC / security design and data-governance experience (masking, access policies).
• Strong warehouse tuning, performance, and cost-optimization skills.
• Infrastructure-as-code, scripting, and CI/CD for Snowflake (Terraform, Bash/Python, schemachange, dbt, GitHub, or equivalent).
• Advanced SQL (Python preferred) and strong data-warehousing / dimensional-modeling fundamentals.
• Experience running Snowflake on AWS (S3 external stages, storage integrations) and familiarity with core AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Account & security administration of Snowflake accounts, databases, schemas, warehouses, users, roles, and resource monitors.
• Governance & data protection: implement network policies, masking, access policies, encryption, PHI/DLP guardrails.
• Warehouse, compute & FinOps: size, tune, and optimize virtual warehouses; manage resource monitors; drive cost management.
• Environment management & resilience: own dev/test/prod environments, Snowflake Data Sharing, backups and failover strategies.
• Performance, reliability & troubleshooting: query performance tuning, workload isolation, capacity planning, issue resolution.
• Platform automation & CI/CD: manage Snowflake objects as code (schemachange/dbt/Terraform); automate with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks.
• Documentation & runbooks: maintain platform docs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Standards, enablement & architecture partnership: define guardrails; enable teams to build safely on the platform.
• Technical oversight: provide guidance to distributed/offshore Snowflake administration resources.
