Job summary

infini-tek is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based data pipelines for enterprise analytics. You will develop high-performance SQL, implement ingestion/orchestration with tools like dbt and Airflow, and ensure secure, scalable data delivery across cloud platforms.

The role involves collaborating with data modelers to implement dimensional or Data Vault models, tuning for cost and performance, and mentoring junior developers as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience with 4+ years hands-on Snowflake expertise.
• Strong SQL and Snowflake features (Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Streams & Tasks).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and storage services.
• Proficiency in ETL/orchestration tools (dbt, Informatica, Talend, Airflow, ADF, Matillion).
• Python or Shell scripting for automation and reproducible pipelines.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and CDC patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based data pipelines for analytics needs.
• Develop SQL queries, views, and UDFs for data transformation and reporting.
• Integrate Snowflake with tools for ingestion/orchestration (dbt, Airflow, etc.).
• Implement loading strategies (COPY INTO, Snowpipe, external stages) for real-time data.
• Tune warehouse sizing, performance, and cost controls with proper clustering.
• Enforce RBAC, data masking, and privacy policies across datasets.
• Handle semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, Avro) using VARIANT and related ops.
• Collaborate with modelers/architects on physical data models (Dimensional/Data Vault).
• Troubleshoot production pipelines, monitor health, and support CI/CD deployments.
• Document designs, data flows, and coding standards; mentor juniors if applicable.
