Job summary

JD Power seeks a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own and evolve our Snowflake data platform for analytics, product, and AI/ML workloads. You will implement Terraform-based RBAC, CI/CD, and observability, while partnering with Security and Compliance to ensure audit readiness and least-privilege access.

You will drive ingestion pipelines (Snowpipe, Streams/Tasks, Kafka) and integrate with orchestration (Airflow) and pipelines tooling (dbt Cloud).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional data platform, data engineering, or data infrastructure experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience at production scale.
• Experience with Snowflake RBAC, cost governance, and security features.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve Snowflake account, warehouse, and object architecture.
• Operate and maintain IaC for Snowflake in Terraform.
• Implement and manage CI/CD for Snowflake objects and changes.
• Define and meet platform reliability and cost SLOs; build dashboards and alerts.
