Job summary

isolved is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own and operate the data platform infrastructure. You will administer Databricks and Snowflake, build and maintain ETL pipelines with Fivetran and dbt, and implement CI/CD practices with Terraform and GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering/Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in data platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, data engineering, or related.
• Deep experience administering Databricks including Unity Catalog, cluster policies, secrets management, and cost optimization.
• Deep experience administering Snowflake including warehouses, RBAC/roles, resource monitors, and data sharing.
• Deep experience building and maintaining Fivetran connectors and incremental ingestion pipelines.
• Deep experience with dbt models, tests, documentation, and CI integration.
• Deep experience building and maintaining Workato recipes and integration workflows.
• Strong CI/CD experience, ideally with GitHub Actions, for automated testing and deployment.
• Strong Terraform experience provisioning and managing cloud and data platform resources as code.
• Strong PySpark experience for large-scale data processing and solid Python for automation.
• Working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident response skills.
• Ability to operate within architectural standards while contributing ideas and technical judgment.
• Strong communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer and tune Databricks workspaces, including Unity Catalog and cost optimization.
• Administer and tune Snowflake warehouses, RBAC, and data sharing configurations.
• Build and maintain Fivetran connectors and ingestion pipelines; troubleshoot data quality issues.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, and documentation; ensure pipeline governance.
• Write Terraform modules to provision Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud infra as code.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for deployment.
• Develop PySpark and Python code for data processing and automation.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Implement identity and security controls (IAM, RBAC, secrets) as per standards.
• Support Airflow or equivalent for data workflow orchestration.
• Configure and enhance Power BI data visuals (if applicable).
• Collaborate with Principal Platform Architect and Principal Data Architect on standards.
