Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation seeks a Sr. SMTA Engineer in Santa Clara, CA to drive SMT process baselining, DFx feedback, and supplier quality improvements across NPI to mass production.

You will enforce critical quality monitors and collaborate with CM/ODM teams to implement new materials and processes, ensuring product reliability and KPI achievement. The role prioritizes leadership, communication, and deep expertise in PCBA manufacturing, with base salary ranges reflecting location and level.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Materials Sciences or Chemistry.
• - 8+ years in PCBA materials and SMTA manufacturing processes at board assembly and system levels.
• - Expertise in PCBA technologies, manufacturing, quality and supplier management.
• - Proven PCB assembly experience with high-speed signal designs and material challenges.
• - Ability to collaborate with hardware, signal integrity, and reliability teams domestically and offshore.
• - Self-driven with minimal supervision and strong communication skills.
• - English proficiency and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Work with suppliers to baseline and enhance SMT processes for quality and reliability improvements.
• Establish and enforce Critical to Quality monitors; determine CpK limits; drive Six Sigma quality goals.
• Review new product designs; perform DFx and process characterization for Mass Production readiness.
• Monitor SMT data KPIs on NPI and Pre-Production builds; ensure corrective actions.
• Transfer products from prototype to Mass Production.
• Coordinate with CM/ODM to implement new materials and processes across assembly and system levels.
