Accelera in Oldsmar, FL seeks a highly skilled soldering technician with extensive SMT experience and rework tool proficiency. The role requires at least five years in manufacturing, strong quality focus, and IPC-610 and IPC J-STD-001 certifications.

You will operate microscopes, AOI systems, rework hardware (BGA removal, hot plates, hot air pencils), and verify boards with X-ray. Overtime and a 12-month contract with possible permanence offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional soldering in manufacturing.
• Stable work history with relevant tech background.
• Experience with SMT inspection and rework processes.

Responsibilities

• Use microscopes to inspect component orientation and perform post-reflow touch-ups.
• Identify and fix solder defects to maintain product integrity.
• Use AOI to distinguish real issues from false alerts.
• Interpret SMT components and technical instructions.
• Work in a fast-paced team with potential overtime.
• Operate rework hardware (BGA removal, hot plates, hot air pens).
• Analyze boards with X-ray to verify bottom-terminated components.
• Assist prototype work by soldering jumper wires.
• Maintain IPC-610 and IPC J-STD-001 certifications.
