Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of SMT rework, electronics assembly, or PCB repair experience.
• Experience with fine-pitch and miniature electronic components.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, assembly prints, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with microscopes and precision hand tools.
• Knowledge of ESD control and handling procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking purposes.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMT and through-hole component rework and repair on PCBAs.
• Remove and replace defective components including resistors, capacitors, ICs, BGAs, QFNs, QFPs, connectors, and other devices.
• Use soldering irons, hot air rework stations, BGA rework equipment, and other specialized tools.
• Interpret assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, ECOs, and work instructions.
• Inspect assemblies for solder defects, orientation, missing parts, and workmanship issues.
• Perform touch-up soldering and repair activities to meet IPC quality requirements.
• Document rework performed and maintain production records.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing defects.
• Verify repairs through visual inspection and functional testing.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Test teams to resolve issues.
• Follow all ESD, safety, and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
