Job summary

The Panther Group seeks an experienced SMT Soldering & Rework Technician for a contract role in Clearwater, FL. You will perform precision SMT soldering, rework, and component placement, using a microscope to verify alignment and solder quality in a fast-paced electronics environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing soldering experience, hands-on rework with hot-air and BGA systems, and experience with AOI and X-ray inspection. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of SMT soldering and rework experience.
• Experience with AOI and X-ray inspection required.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions for standard SMT components.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision SMT soldering, rework, touch-up, and component placement.
• Use microscopes to verify placement, solder quality, and workmanship.
• Inspect boards with AOI and X-ray to identify defects and correct them.
• Read instructions and identify standard SMT components; work under microscope.
