Hyve Solutions is seeking a Lead SMT Operator in Carson City, NV to oversee and perform the operation, setup, and maintenance of SMT equipment for high-quality electronic assemblies. You will train junior operators, troubleshoot issues, and uphold safe, organized production.

You will read engineering drawings, interpret BOMs, and maintain process records while collaborating with engineering and quality teams to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
5+ years SMT equipment operation/maintenance experience in manufacturing.
Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.
IPC-A-610 knowledge is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of SMT Operators, providing training and feedback.
Perform complex setups, changeovers, and programming adjustments on SMT equipment.
Operate and monitor pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens.
Conduct first-article inspections and in-process quality checks.
Troubleshoot SMT equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
Maintain accurate production records and logs.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize processes.
Adhere to safety protocols and keep work area organized.
Assist in training and development of new operators.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
