Job summary

Smart Foodservice Stores is seeking a Sr Coordinator, Slotting to maximize warehouse efficiency by assigning products to pick and reserve slots. The role uses independent judgement to select optimal slotting sequences for productive picking across dry, cooler, and freezer areas.

Responsibilities include slotting, audits, and collaborating with Inventory Control to resolve issues, while training junior staff and communicating with warehouse leadership daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in warehouse administrative or clerical position.
• Prior slotting experience required.
• Excellent communication both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to independently solve problems of intermediate scope.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Manhattan software to slot products in all warehouse areas to optimally provide a safe working environment, maximize warehouse efficiency, and minimize errors.
• Perform accurate slotting of new items as well as daily slotting moves to increase productivity and cases per pallet.
• Monitor, research, and respond to Slot Check inquiries to answer internal questions about item placement.
• Communicate daily with warehouse leadership about work status, receiving errors or safety concerns.
• Support in training and developing junior clerical teammates.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
