Job summary

Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital is seeking a Sleep Lab Tech II to perform polysomnography studies, titrations, and related diagnostics under medical supervision. The role includes equipment calibration, data collection, and patient education across pediatric to geriatric populations.

The position requires RPSGT certification within 18 months, Virginia licensure or RT certification, and BLS-HCP; prior sleep center experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited sleep technology program or associated degree in sleep tech.
• RPSGT certification required; RST/SDS acceptable.
• Virginia State License for Polysomnographic Technologist or RT certification; enroll and complete within 18 months.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct polysomnography, MSLT, MWT, parasomnia, PAP, and oxygen titration studies.
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events per guidelines.
• Prepare reports and maintain equipment and inventory.
• Provide patient education and ensure safety and infection control.
