Job summary

Baptist seeks a Sleep Center PSG II Technician to perform basic polysomnographic testing and related interventions under clinical supervision. Responsibilities include reviewing patient information, guiding testing parameters with physicians, and ensuring protocol adherence.

The role requires RRT/CRT or Sleep-eligible certification, BRPT exam scheduling, and compliance with ACLS/BLS and basic computer skills. Overtime and callbacks may be required, reporting to the Sleep Center Director.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registry Eligible in Sleep and must challenge the BRPT Exam of hire/transfer to be eligible to remain in the PSG II job classification.
• If the candidate has previous sleep experience and is eligible to take the exam upon hire, he/she must challenge the next available exam date and pass the exam to remain a PSG II Technician.
• Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Basic computer literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Collects, analyzes and integrates patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs and to determine final testing parameter/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols.
• Oversees and performs difficult and unusual procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Follows procedural protocols.
• Demonstrates the ability to analyze complex situations and apply policy.
• Completes assigned goals.
