Job summary

Zeus is seeking a CI Engineer to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives using Lean & Six Sigma DMAIC and Design for Six Sigma methodologies to improve process capability, reduce variation, and eliminate waste. Collaborate with site leadership to charter projects, drive improvements in quality, productivity, throughput, and cost, and deliver measurable results such as scrap reduction and OEE gains.

Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred; Green Belt acceptable if Black Belt not yet achieved.

Job description

The CI Engineer leads complex cross-functional improvement initiatives using Lean & Six Sigma DMAIC and Design for Six Sigma methodologies to improve process capability, reduce variation, and eliminate waste.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with site leadership to identify systemic process constraints, developing project charters, estimating opportunities, establish overall improvement targets and support completion of projects that drive improvements to enhance quality, productivity, throughput, and cost performance.
• Deliver measurable results including scrap reduction, yield improvement, OEE increases, cycle time reduction, and cost savings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify sources of variation and implement solutions that improve process stability and capability (Cp, Cpk, Ppk).
• Develop and deploy statistical control strategies, including control charts, reaction plans, and capability monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and process design.
• 4 yr. Engineering Degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5+ Years of experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems with Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent required if Black Belt not yet achieved
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives from project charter through control phase.
• Skilled in scope definition, milestone planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder management. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, able to handle multiple projects
• Continuous improvement, Kaizen, SPC, and TPM experience
• Strong mentoring, coaching and facilitation experience to develop CI capability within teams.
