Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with the site operations team and execute WHS policies while ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations. You will lead safety improvements, train leadership, and build a high-performing WHS team on site in Pflugerville, Texas.

The role requires building trust with cross-functional teams, delivering risk assessments and safety data analyses, and guiding regional teams in applying safety

Qualifications

• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon Safety Policies.
• Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies and create improvement plans.
• Audit record keeping and data integrity to support safety initiatives.
• Lead and mentor Safety Managers and Safety Associates at the site.
