Job summary

Navigate Search is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on a major Chicago high-rise multifamily development. You will manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate multiple trades, and ensure work aligns with plans and specifications in a dense urban setting.

You will drive safety culture, push for on-time milestones, and partner with PM, Engineering, Design, and Ownership to balance schedule and budget while maintaining quality across complex milestones.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field construction experience
• Experience leading ground-up multifamily/high-rise projects
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and quality management practices
• Experience coordinating multiple trades on urban job sites
• Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day field operations from site mobilization through closeout
• Lead superintendents, subcontractors, and field staff to safely execute the project
• Develop and maintain the master construction schedule and milestones
• Coordinate structural concrete, building envelope, MEP systems, interiors, elevators, and site work
• Maintain quality control and ensure work aligns with plans and specs
• Conduct daily coordination meetings and resolve field issues
• Partner with PM, Engineering, Design, and Ownership to maintain schedule and budget
• Manage inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities
• Promote safety, accountability, and teamwork at all times
• Identify risks early and implement delay-minimizing solutions
• Maintain daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and production tracking
