Job summary

Onni Group of Companies in Chicago is seeking a Site Superintendent for Commercial Interiors to lead multi-site interior renovation projects, coordinating on-site trades, inspectors, and subcontractors while maintaining schedule and quality targets.

You will oversee all site activities, ensure alignment with high standards, manage budgets and cost tracking, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in construction industry.
• Managing interior buildout projects.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and quality management.
• Experience overseeing commercial projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for initiating, executing, monitoring, controlling and completing multiple commercial interior renovation projects across multiple properties.
• Overseeing all site activities by all sub-trades daily.
• Ensure projects align with the company's high standards.
• Drive and maintain the overall construction schedule over the project duration.
• Update the project team with milestone dates and forecast daily/weekly/monthly targets and reports.
• Assist project manager with budget reviews and cost tracking.
• Manage work orders for materials arriving at the site.
• Develop site logistics plans for projects.
• Review design documents for quality control, schedule impacts, and logistics.
• Site documentation and review of site changes and cost implications.
• Supervise all sub-trades, workers, and suppliers.
• Review contracts and sub-trade/supplier scope of work for compliance.
• Facilitate and maintain site safety policies.
• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly inspections for quality control.
• Coordinate site resource allocation and manage internal/external resources.
• Proactively manage scope changes, identify crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Coordinate neighbor/tenant communications and maintain good community relationships.
