Job summary

Yukon Management, LLC is hiring a Site Safety and Health Officer to lead the safety and occupational health program across NY and NJ construction projects. The role requires authority to enforce safety measures, perform inspections, and oversee incident investigations, with a strong focus on EM 385-1-1 compliance.

The candidate should have 10+ years of site safety experience, 5+ years on USACE projects, and an OSHA 30-hour certification.

Qualifications

• 10+ years work experience as a Site Safety and Health Officer or equivalent role.
• 5+ years of construction experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects.
• Experience with EM385-1-1 is required.
• Familiar with EM385-1-1 and comfortable writing AHAs and APPs.
• At least 8 hours of documented safety training each year for the last 5 years.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log of inspections, hazards, and actions.
• Attach safety inspection logs to the Contractors' daily production report.
• Conduct mishap investigations and complete required accident reports.
• Report mishaps and near misses.
• Log work-related injuries using OSHA Form 300 and make available to authorities.
• Prepare and maintain site safety APP and related plans.
• Review APP and AHAs for EM 385-1-1 compliance; implement and enforce them.
• Establish a Safety and Occupational Health Deficiency Tracking System.
