Job summary

Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) seeks a Site Representative Systems Engineer for the Horizon 2 contract in Tucson, AZ.

The role supports government mission systems across acquisition, integration, test, qualification, deployment, and operations as they transition into production. The candidate will engage in reviews, monitor corrective actions, and oversee lab/manufacturing areas, ensuring production readiness and compliance with security requirements.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in engineering, with strong systems engineering and manufacturing background.
• Experience in terrestrial and space systems design, production, integration and testing.
• Security clearance background investigation (T5 or SSBI) and SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Participate in reviews, meetings, and boards, ensuring updates reach the home program office.
• Monitor corrective actions, problem closures, obsolescence, and manufacturing issues.
• Oversee lab and manufacturing areas, build schedules, progress, and risk to schedule.
• Benchmark practices against developers’ processes and assess progress toward production readiness.
• Support acquisition, integration, test, qualification, deployment, and operations of mission systems.
• Support hardware verifications such as first article inspections and configuration audits.
