Job summary

Umbra is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, operate, and scale mission-critical infrastructure powering Umbra’s systems. You’ll leverage a deep understanding of modern infrastructure, distributed systems, and the tech stack to drive architectural decisions and balance long-term scalability with reliability.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative technical leader who communicates across teams and drives improvements with lasting impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• 5-8+ years in SRE/DevOps for SaaS.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform.
• Agile/Scrum experience and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability and scalability of critical systems and meet SLAs.
• Develop new technologies and proofs of concept.
• Lead by example to foster excellence and reliability.
• Improve team processes and workflows for efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical strategy.
• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve complex issues.
