Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III in Plano, TX (Hybrid) for 18 months. You will focus on monitoring, performance, and reliability of critical applications, triaging production issues, and driving automation to reduce recurrence.

You will work with stakeholders to define SLOs, design dashboards, and execute chaos tests using leading APM tools. Strong Java and CI/CD experience required.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years IT experience with 6+ years on a DevOps, SRE, or performance engineering team.
• Experience triaging production issues using APM tools and log aggregation.
• Strong Java development background and experience with React/Angular frontend.
• Familiar with middleware (Apache/Tomcat) and Java/RESTful services.
• Backend DB experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or Hadoop.
• Scripting in Python/UNIX/Perl; proficient with CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-stack triage of alerts to identify root causes and improve reliability.
• Define and track service level objectives (SLOs) with stakeholders.
• Design dashboards and reports to communicate key performance metrics.
• Improve alerting posture and update alerts based on findings.
• Execute performance and chaos tests; analyze results with APM tools.
• Document findings and present results to stakeholders; drive automation to reduce recurrence.
